The CEPE is a branch of the IAE (Institute of Business Administration) of Poitiers located in Angoulême, the worldwide capital of comic books recognized by UNESCO. It is one of the 12 schools of the Magelis Image Campus specialized in the field of creative and cultural industries.
The CEPE-IAE of Poitiers offers a Master's program in Digital Youth Marketing, with a specialization in Marketing and Sales, a unique specialty in France that trains marketing managers who understand the strategic and ethical challenges in dynamic and internationalized sectors targeting youth: childcare, toys, television, video games, publishing, press, cinema, fashion-apparel, agri-food, and music. This specialty is part of a two-year program: the first year focuses on acquiring basic knowledge in law, consumer cultures, management control, and strategic management; the second year offers a specialization in Youth Marketing for 6 months while enhancing business English skills, followed by a 6-month professional insertion internship.
The CEPE educates future business managers who understand the challenges of commercial relationships with children (economic and managerial issues, child development issues, consumer education issues, socio-political and ethical issues related to contributing to social well-being, etc.). However, the CEPE covers all sectors of activity targeting youth (from unborn child to nostalgic young adults) and therefore provides students with knowledge about current events in various industries: childcare, toys, publishing, animation, television, agri-food, fashion and apparel, video games, cultural content distribution platforms, amusement parks, etc.
A number of our graduates work in the video game industry. Other students may hold positions in companies outside the video game sector, but will regularly establish partnerships, promotional operations, and licensing initiatives with video game studios.
For this reason, the educational team of CEPE-IAE Poitiers aims to contribute to the REJV network with its capacity for strategic analysis of "business opportunities," its knowledge of intergenerational playful practices, its experience in marketing techniques to support sales and succeed in negotiations with distributors and online platforms, as well as its reflections and vision regarding the corporate social responsibility of companies targeting youth.
