The financial situation of video game studios changed significantly between 2022 and 2024, with the crisis resulting in an increase of nearly 10 points in the number of companies reporting deficits, now representing one in three companies.
However, some data remains encouraging and reflects the resilience of established companies despite the crisis: 23% of studios report revenues exceeding €1 million.
However, access to bank loans has deteriorated for industry players, with nearly 20% experiencing difficulties in obtaining financing, compared to only 10% in 2022.
CSR, an increasingly significant issue for companies
27.4% of the respondents have a dedicated CSR officer within their organization.
42% of companies surveyed have already conducted a carbon impact assessment (compared to 10% of companies in 2022).
